We’ve all had moments in our lives where we’ve felt lost, scared or unsure of what comes next. For many, a cancer diagnosis brings about some of the deepest feelings of uncertainty that one will ever experience. Suddenly, your life is not your own and everything seems completely out of your control. While the first priority is always focusing on treatment and recovery, it’s also important during this challenging time not to lose sight of your overall well-being.

Making positive lifestyle changes, taking steps to reduce stress and focus on self-care can make a huge difference not only in your physical health, but also your mental health and state of mind. In this blog post, I’ll share some of the strategies that helped me maintain as much normalcy as possible during my own cancer journey, with the hope that others facing similar battles may find useful tips to take better care of themselves – both body and soul.
